Pilonidal sinus disease is an inter-gluteal zone disease characterized by sinus forming in the cleft of the buttocks. It impacts males aged 16-30 years more often. A tiny cyst or abscess that arises in the cleft at the tip of the buttocks is a pilonidal sinus (PNS). It may cause serious pain and is contaminated regularly. It can exude pus and blood and emit a foul smell if it becomes infected. A pilonidal sinus is a disease that affects predominantly males and is widespread in young adults.
