Rectovaginal Fistula signs often cause both internal pain and physical pain. You may have very mild symptoms or serious difficulties with continence and sanitation, depending on the extent and position of the fistula. Signs and symptoms of rectovaginal fistula can include movement of gas, stool, or pus from the vagina; foul-smelling vaginal discharge; recurring vaginal or urinary tract infections inflammation or discomfort in the vulva; foul-smelling vaginal discharge; or pain in the vulva; foul-smelling vaginal discharge; or pain in the vulva.
